Here in Coventry, we know what it means to bleed sky blue. So when the final whistle blew and Coventry City Football Club — our beloved Sky Blues — secured promotion, the whole city felt it. It was a moment of pure, electric joy. Streets filled with chants, scarves were waved, and for those of us lucky enough to work closely with the club, the pride ran even deeper.
At Coventry Blinds, we have always been passionate supporters of our city’s football club. That passion took on a whole new meaning a couple of years ago when, during Frank Lampard’s tenure as Coventry City manager, we were honoured to be selected as the company trusted to supply and install blinds and shutters at two of the club’s most important locations: the iconic Coventry Building Society Arena and the training facilities at Ryton-on-Dunsmore.
When Frank Lampard Came to Coventry
The appointment of Frank Lampard as Sky Blues manager sent a wave of excitement through the city. A Chelsea and England legend, a Champions League winner, a man with serious football pedigree — suddenly, he was ours. Lampard brought with him a new energy, a fresh ambition and, as it turned out, a renewed focus on upgrading the facilities that the players trained and worked in every single day.
It was during this period of renewal that Coventry Blinds received the call. The club was looking to fit out the training ground at Ryton with high-quality window coverings — practical, stylish, and befitting a club with serious aspirations. We were delighted to answer that call. Our team visited the site, assessed the requirements, and set about providing a bespoke solution tailored to the specific needs of a professional football environment.
Fitted for the Training Ground at Ryton
The training facilities at Ryton-on-Dunsmore are the beating heart of Coventry City FC’s daily operations. This is where the squad prepares, where tactics are drilled, and where the players spend much of their working lives. Getting the environment right matters — not just aesthetically, but practically. Light control, privacy, and durability are all essential in a professional sports facility.
Our team installed a series of high-quality grey roller blinds throughout the training ground, chosen for their clean appearance, excellent light-filtering properties, and robust construction. The Coventry Building Society Arena

The CBS Arena is a landmark of our city, and to have our products installed within it is something our entire team is tremendously proud of.
The Arena presents a very different set of requirements to the training ground. From the hospitality suites and executive boxes to the office areas and back-of-house facilities, the range of environments within the stadium calls for tailored solutions. Our team rose to that challenge, working closely with the stadium management team to ensure every installation was perfectly suited to its space — combining practical performance with a professional finish that reflects the stature of the venue.
