Expert supply and fitting of venetian blinds across Coventry and the West Midlands.

blinds-1

Venetian blinds have been around for a long time, and there’s a reason. No other blind gives you quite the same level of control over light direction — tilt the slats up and you bounce light toward the ceiling; tilt them down and you shade the room while keeping airflow. Raise them completely and you have an unobstructed view.

We supply and fit venetian blinds in aluminium and faux wood across Coventry and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re looking for something crisp and modern for a kitchen or home office, or something with the warmth of wood for a living room, we’ll help you find the right option.

Choosing between aluminium and faux wood

The material you choose will be determined mostly by the room the blind is going in.

Aluminium venetian blinds are lightweight, hygienic, and easy to wipe clean. They come in a wide range of slat widths and colours — from classic white and silver to bolder tones. They’re a popular choice for kitchens, home offices, and modern interiors where a clean, minimal look is the priority. Aluminium is also a practical choice for bathrooms, where it won’t warp in humidity.

Faux wood venetian blinds have the look and feel of real wood but are made from PVC-composite materials that won’t warp, crack, or discolour in damp conditions. They’re more robust than real wood and look better for longer in rooms with fluctuating temperature and humidity. We recommend faux wood for kitchens, bathrooms, and conservatories.

Real wood venetian blinds are available on request — they bring natural grain and warmth to living rooms and studies where moisture isn’t a concern. Talk to us if you’d like to explore this option.

Slat size matters more than you’d think

Standard venetian blinds come in 25mm and 50mm slat widths. The difference isn’t just aesthetic — it changes how the blind looks in the window and how much light control you have.

Narrower 25mm slats give a more traditional venetian look, with more slats visible across the window. Wider 50mm slats create a bolder, more contemporary look — closer to a shutter effect when open. We’ll bring examples of both to your home visit so you can see which suits your window proportions.

The mechanism — getting it right

A venetian blind is only as good as its mechanism. A poorly fitted blind will tilt unevenly, jam at one end, or develop a twist that gets progressively worse.

We fit robust headrails and test every tilt mechanism before we leave. The cords and wands should operate smoothly and stop exactly where you want them — and ours do.

All our venetian blinds are supplied with child safety devices meeting current UK standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are venetian blinds easy to clean?

Yes — a regular dust with a microfibre cloth or the brush attachment of a vacuum keeps them in good condition. For deeper cleaning, the slats can be wiped individually with a damp cloth.

Can you fit venetian blinds in bathrooms?

Aluminium and faux wood are both suitable for bathrooms. We’d steer you away from real wood in a bathroom setting as it can warp over time.

What’s the maximum width you can fit?

A single venetian blind can typically be made to around 2.5–3 metres wide. For wider windows, two blinds operated side by side is the usual approach.

Do you offer real wood venetian blinds?

Yes, by request. Real wood isn’t on our standard sample range but we have access to a good selection — contact us and we’ll discuss options.
