Do I need an existing pergola to fit a pergola awning?
Not necessarily. We can fit pergola awnings to existing timber or steel pergolas if they are structurally suitable, and we can also advise on dedicated aluminium pergola frames that are designed to accept the awning system. We’ll assess what you have during the free survey.
Can pergola awnings be motorised?
Yes — most are. Motorised pergola awnings open and close the overhead canopy at the touch of a button, and you can add wind sensors that automatically retract the awning in gusty weather. Particularly useful for larger spans.
How is a pergola awning different from a standard wall awning?
