Why standard vertical blinds don’t work on bay windows

A straight track fitted to a curved bay window will either leave gaps between the louvres and the glass, or the louvres won’t hang plumb — they’ll be angled slightly outward at the curves. This looks untidy and reduces privacy.

A curved track is shaped to match the precise contour of your bay window. The louvres hang straight, sit flush to the glass, and glide around the curve without snagging. The difference is immediately obvious.

We start by visiting your home to take precise measurements of the bay’s curve. We map the exact radius and angles, then shape the aluminium headrail to match. Everything is made to your window’s specific dimensions — we don’t adapt standard parts.

Operation

The blinds operate just like a standard vertical — a control chain draws them to one side or both, and a wand rotates the louvres to adjust the light. The difference is that the movement follows the curve smoothly, without catching or jamming.

For conservatories or rooms where the track is above easy reach, motorised operation is available and works particularly well with curved systems.
